Homeward bound

We have arrived safely back in the UK and are homeward bound on the coach from Manchester airport.

Miss Ladbrook and all of the staff would like to thank the girls for their wonderful enthusiasm and impeccable behaviour during our week's skiing in Formigal, Spain. We look forward to seeing you all on Monday morning, back at school. Enjoy a good night's sleep tonight!

Our last day

All groups had another fantastic day on the slopes with plenty of sunshine, hot chocolates and new stories to share at lunch time.

The girls put into practise all of the techniques they had learnt during the week as they completed their final day at ski school. Each girl received a certificate for successfully completing the week from their instructors during an awards ceremony and the winners of the ski races were announced with first second and third receiving medals and a place on the podium. The girls and staff showed their appreciation to the instructors with rounds of applause and thank you cards before leaving Formigal for the last time.

After dinner the staff hosted their own awards ceremony. Our lovely ski rep Tânia awarded each of the girls a second certificate on behalf of Ski Team 4 and then the staff awarded each girl a personalised award based on something unique they had done during the week. There were then prizes for the best beginner/intermediate/advanced skier and most improved skier. What a wonderful way to end a fantastic week!

We would like to thank all of their staff for their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm during the week and to thank the girls for their energy, cooperation and good humour throughout. Well done to all!

Talent Show

The talent show this evening was hosted and judged by staff, making guest appearances as "Ant or Dec", Carol Vorderman and Vernon Kay, with special judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Amanda Holden.

The girls had had a very short amount of time to rehearse for the show but worked hard in their groups to put on a variety of performances including comedy sketches, quiz shows, singing, dancing and impressions. The staff and student audience were thoroughly entertained and very impressed by the high standard shown in each one. After feedback from the judges and careful scoring, the top three groups were announced. Congratulations to the overall winners "Ski Form Entertainment" with a very clever and incredibly funny impersonation of the staff and ski instructors. Well done to all the girls for taking part and thank you for an excellent show!

Ski Day 4

All groups had another fantastic day at ski school with more beautiful weather. Some of the girls enjoyed a hot chocolate on the slopes during a short break, whilst others explored different runs, practised new techniques and enjoyed the stunning panoramic views.

Panticosa village

After skiing today the girls and staff had some time to explore the picturesque village of  Panticosa and to do some shopping. The girls then had free time to rehearse for tomorrow's talent show before dinner. The staff are looking forward to seeing all of the performances!

Ski race!

The lovely weather today made perfect conditions for a ski race. The girls showed off their newly acquired skills and technique by racing through a serious of gates to the bottom of the slope. We were impressed by the progress and ability shown in all groups and look forward to the announcement of the winners at the end of the week! Well done girls!

Ski Day 3

The sun shone again in Formigal as the girls took on their third day of skiing, taking on new challenges and learning techniques from their instructors. More progress was made by all groups and much fun was had!
